Are You Ready to Rediscover Your Self-Worth?

You may begin to tell yourself a story that it isn’t safe to be or do in a certain way.  You begin hearing yourself described as being good for one behaviour and bad for another, being laughed at or severely reprimanded for doing something wrong and praised highly for doing something right. It may begin to feel unsafe to show some parts of you and very safe to show others.

Create Authentic Intentions not Goals

No day creates such a drive to make changes as New Year’s day. Smoking will cease, sugar and chocolate ditched, gyms and various exercise plans developed as well as other types of changes decided on for this special day. Invariably for many, in spite of the sincerity of the intentions, come mid-January, no change has occurred and the resolve to change has diminished with the passing of the first month of the new year.

How to be Kinder to Yourself Today

Often, I am told that one of the reasons for being self-critical is to improve performance, behaviour and achieve goals… and I would ask you to imagine what it would be like, when you know it is possible to motivate yourself with kindness instead…. just a thought.

Self Compassion is the New Diet

If you are expecting a new diet plan, the one which will guarantee you will lose weight, be full of before and after pictures and tell you what foods you can and can’t eat and weight you…this will not be the plan for you.

I am actually not interested in your weight, what you do or don’t eat, what I am passionately curious about is, whether you are happy, how kind you are being to yourself and that you are nourishing yourself from a place of kindness and self-worth.

1500 Calories, or 1500 Moments of Kindness?

Imagine, I give you the choice of 2 different “diet” plans… you either have 1500 moments of kindness to use each day or 1500 calories, they both appear to offer the same thing… will result in you feeling happier, healthier and slimmer.
